Amy worked professionally as an Actress for 8 years before moving into casting in 2019. She has since worked across all mediums with CDs including Ginny Schiller, Annelie Powell and Anna Kennedy. Amy is now working as Casting Director / Associate with Carla Stronge, as well as continuing to cast theatre in her own right.

Credits as Casting Director include The Importance of Being Earnest (Manchester Royal Exchange), Pickle Storm (CBBC), Protest (Northern Stage / National Theatre Scotland / Fuel Theatre), Milk & Gall (Theatre503) and The Shape of Things (Park Theatre). Credits as Casting Associate include How To Get To Heaven From Belfast (HatTrick Productions / Netflix), Trespasses (Wildgaze Films / Ch4) and Dalgliesh (New Pictures / Ch5).

In 2021, Amy worked with fellow Casting Director Anna Dawson and Tagmin to develop a new tool designed to give actors a Yes/No outcome to every audition.
