Urvashi Chand is a casting director who has cast a wide-range of features with actors that include: Robert Pattinson, Tom Hiddleston, Emma Roberts and Sean Bean.Her credits include TOMORROW directed by Martha Pinson and exec. produced by Martin Scorsese and Emma Tillinger Koskoff with Stephen Fry, Paul Kaye, Joss Stone and Stephanie Leonidas, LEGACY produced by Noel Clarke and Jason Maza and SCOTTISH MUSSEL directed by Talulah Riley with Harry Enfield, Rufus Hound, Martin Compston and Joe Thomas. Urvashi did the UK casting for MISTER PIP based on the Man Booker nominated book by Lloyd Jones for the creator and director of Shrek and The Chronicles of Narnia, Andrew Adamson. Further credits include EVERYWHERE AND NOWHERE by Kidulthood director Menhaj Huda where she cast then unknown James Floyd in the lead. Urvashi also cast 4321 for Universal Pictures directed by BAFTA winner Noel Clarke. Urvashi Chand read Philosophy at London University and then studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama and Mountview Theatre School. She went on to direct fringe theatre in London before working with Danielle Roffe in casting on a number of films including Steven Herek’s Rockstar, Mike and Jack Binder’s The Search for John Gissing, Nick Love’s Goodbye Charlie Bright and Lagaan, the first Indian film to be nominated for an Oscar. She has also cast for The Bill. Her episodes, in were nominated for a BAFTA and won a Royal Television Society award, and were nominated for a Rose D’or in Switzerland.
